Mowing has always been a farmer's celebration, and it was always accompanied by good food and drink, and the mowers had to be well served. An old proverb says: "As the mower is served, so is his scythe."

Moravče Rural Youth Association is an active member of the Association of Slovenian Rural Youth. Ever since 1994, they have been the main organizer of the farmer feast and, more recently, the main organizer of the Moravian Night.

About the European Championship
The first championship to be hosted by Slovenia took place in 1999 in Kranj, and the second in 2011 in Cerklje na Gorenjskem.
The event is moved to 2023.
